atlanta (part two)

while in atlanta we visited some really awesome restaurants.  the first was the vortex bar & grill which had this crazy kick-ass biker bar feel to it.  there were skeletons seating on motorcycles and the dining room was covered ceiling to floor with pictures of tattoo women dress in goth clothing.  the whole restaurant was completely dark but in the bar area it had red lights lining the bar to give it this dungeon feel.  there was a wide variety of music playing in the background.  one second they would be playing grunge then it would go to country then hip hop and i'm pretty sure i heard some pop music in there.  the food was fantastic i got the vortex cheeseburger with whiskey pimento cheese on it.  my side was fried zucchini dipped in a ranch dressing so good but i could only eat half of it because it was insanely big.  the next morning we headed to west egg cafe for breakfast.  talk about an amazing experience right when you walk in there straight in front of you is a pastry bar with a coffee menu above it on the wall. so while you wait for a table you can enjoy a nice cup of cappuccino or latte with a scones or coffee cake.  could it get any better? the brunch there was incredible.  i had the belgian waffle with syrup and spiced honey butter yum yum and tyler had the westside pileup which was potatoes topped with onions, peppers, cheddar cheese and eggs. below are some pictures from west egg cafe the vortex on the other hand was too dark for me to get any good pictures of it.

and we just couldn't leave without trying their orange creamsicle milkshake and their coffee cake and let me tell you it definitely lived up to my expectation!
