body art

so i've been thinking heavily about getting a new tattoo. i would like something to cover up the one on my lower back which i got when i was 18 so i didn't put a lot of thought into it and it has no meaning to me.  the only thing is is that the tattoo goes across my entire lower back so it's not small. i was thinking about maybe doing a black and grey tree with empty branches and the root of the tree being the part that covers up the old tattoo.  i've actually thought about doing this tree tattoo for years now i'm just not sure i could handle the pain concerning it wouldn't just take an hour to do like my other ones but probably have to be done in phases. i've also wanted to add another dove to my back.  the one i have now represents me on my journey and i'd like to add another one for my husband which is on this journey with me. so maybe i'll started with the dove and get someone to draw up the tree and see where i go from there.
